HIghland Light Train Print, Image size 10 x 13" AVAILABLE |

HIghland Light Train: This was a researched piece, of the train that traveled between Boston and Provincetown on the Cape Cod Rail. The original train no longer exists, nor do any colored pictures. In fact, only one image was located that was somewhat blurred. The colors came from research of colors used at the time, along with a few journal entries written by local folks. One train from the company that made the Highland Light train was located in Pennsylvania. It was painted with a similar color sceme and that allowed for the precision of the type of blue used. The original was sold, but the giclee print run was originally created for a fundraiser for the Truro Historical Society. A few of the prints remain in the artist's possession and can be purchased through Addison Art Gallery. |
