* “Sally Lightfoots are a brightly colored very common crab in the Galapagos Islands, and all along the South and Central American coast from Peru to Mexico. They get their name from the fact that they can run in all 4 directions (without turning around) and are even capable jumpers. In the Galapagos, they scurry all over the black lava rock, sometimes by the colorful dozens and have little fear of people, so they are absolutely delightful to watch.” |
